Each year we take a group of nine couples to the beautiful country of South Africa. Upon arrival in Cape Town we spend three nights at the luxurious Queen Victoria Hotel.

Highlights of the Cape Town portion of our trip include a private food and walking tour, an excursion to the top of the majestic Table Mountain, shopping at the renowned V&A Waterfront and a round of golf at Steenberg Golf Club.

Following our stay in Cape Town, we move to Stellenbosch for four nights with our stay at Bonne Esperance. This luxury guest house is located in the heart of this beautiful wine town. While in this area, we will play golf at DeZalze Golf Club and Pearl Valley, visit local wineries and dine in some of the areas favorite restaurants.

Following our time in the Western Cape, we then travel by private charter flight to the 5 Star Madikwe Hills Lodge . Here we spend five magnificent nights in this malaria free park located in the Madikwe Game Reserve near the Botswana border.

Guests stay in private romantic and secluded suites with rich African textures. Wrap-around glass walled interiors with uninterrupted views of the surrounding bush, spectacular bathrooms with roll top baths as well as indoor and outdoor showers and a private pool and sun deck make the Madikwe Hills stay like no other in the world.

Game drives are in open vehicles specially designed to ensure comfort and safety. Qualified, professional and armed safari guides provide adventures through the African bush. Lion, elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, and leopard are all here in abundance, as well as cheetah, giraffe and both spotted and brown hyena. Madikwe is also the one of the best places in Southern Africa to watch the elusive and rare wild dog, a fascinating species on the brink of extinction.

TYPICAL SCHEDULE ON SAFARI:

Each morning begins with a cup of tea or coffee followed by a morning game drive. Be prepared to see all that Southern Africa has to offer... perhaps a lion, elephant, giraffe or cheetah

Mid-morning, guides provide stops in the bush for a cup of coffee and light snack followed by additional game viewing. Guest then return to the Lodge for a scrumptious breakfast.

Afternoons will be spent at leisure. Getting that special spa treatment, relaxing by the pool, sitting at the look-out deck and viewing animals on the plain, or just spending some quiet time in your luxurious room.

At 4:30 p.m. guests depart for the evening game drive. Sunset will be spent in the bush with a special "Phuza" that includes your favorite drink or cocktail. Following your evening game drive dinner is served upon return.
